Matthew’s involvement in the construction sector has been extensive. Not only was it a significant part of his early career, but he was actively involved in dispute resolution throughout his tenure as a Member of the Fair Work Commission. In 2017, Matthew undertook a review of the Fair Work Act Greenfields Agreement arrangements for the Federal Government. That review was tabled in Parliament in February 2018.
Matthew provides advice to clients and major construction contractors on workplace relations strategies and arrangements for civil and mechanical projects to predict and avoid potential disputation. This advice goes to project planning and contract management functions. It extends to assistance in the resolution of differences between contractors and clients.
